Questions to Flight 253 Incidents

Can security systems held in airports expose terrorists?

The world after 9/11 is a more secure place especially within airports and the aviation industry as a whole.  With the help of security companies technological advancements have been made to baggage and passenger screening. In addition, the security profiling system has evolved and it has been implemented into a growing number of airports and airlines.

Security profiling system is based on information produced from any object or movement and finding irregularities to normal routines.

If we try to analyze the events prior to flight 253 incident we can raise some questions from the stories and information in the media.

There are some odd things in Umar Abdulmutallab actions and facts that one might check thoroughly before letting him onto a flight:

He only brought with him carry-on luggage despite having 2 weeks in the U.S before his return flight. Why did he carry such a small luggage for a two weeks stay in the U.S?

Abdulmutallab purchased his ticket in Ghana but his flight was from Lagos Nigeria.
Why did he visit Ghana?
Why didn’t he fly from Ghana to Amsterdam?

Abdulmutallab, paid almost 3000$ for the ticket in cash.
Why did he make such an expensive purchase using cash rather than a credit card?
Why did he pay such an expensive price for a ticket that generally ranges in price from 1500-1900$ maximum?
If he preferred to pay in cash, did he carry on him currency to fund his 2 weeks visit in the U.S?

Abdulmutallab, holder of Nigerian passport, did not reside in his origin country.
Where was his permanent residence?
What was he doing at his other permanent residence?

His original Nigerian passport contained entry/exit visas from Yemen, a country known with underground El-Qaeda activity?
He was added to the terrorist’s list by U.S in October, what was his purpose of visiting or staying in Yemen?
